Here we go again with our beloved “magazines vs embargoes” game. These scanned images of the 2008 Subaru Impreze WRX come from Motor Trend magazine's May issue and they where posted up on NASIOC (North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club). Story has it that a member of the site received an (way) early copy of Motor Trend so he thought he’d let us take a premature look at Subrau’s “Legend Reborn”. If you take a stride on NASIOC you’ll see that many members of the site are in doubt whether the scan images feature the real thing or if it’s just a bunch of photochopped pics. We lean towards the first scenario, but in any case we’re quiet disappointed with the hatchback looks and especially with the fascia. Not that it matters as, just like most Subaru’s, if these pics are real we’ll probably see Subaru announcing a facelift in a couple of years or months… Via: Edmunds, Source: NASIOC

As a professional car designer, I here by offer my talents to Subaru as a form of charity... they need it. Such a shame.
For such a quality built performance type car it sure looks like the worst of the economy cars on the road today.
