2009 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Scooped

|
Unlike other rumours and renderings we’ve been seen lately, the C63 AMG is really coming to a Mercedes outlet near you either this fall or early 2008. AutoMotorundSport not only managed to scoop the top-end C-Class performing test runs in Germany but they also came up with a rendering giving us a preview of the car. -Continued: Click “Read More…” below

While the previous gen C55 AMG wore a 5.4 V8 pumping out 367Hp, the 2009 C63 AMG will take advantage of the 6,2-litre V8 engine that’s fitted in the CLK63 AMG, E63 AMG, CLS63AMG etc. With the help of a compressor, the V8 will deliver around 500Hp, thus making the C63 AMG the most powerful kid on the German block, out-powering both the Audi RS4 and BMW M3. We don’t know if that’ll be enough to give its two German rivals a lesson, but it’ll sure give the C63 AMG a place in the spotlight when it’s unveiled.

it's not possible the v8 will produce around 420bhp.
You can not put 500bhp in a C-Class just because of the range price. 500bhp means a very high price for this toy and Mercedes can lose some customers.
The power has a price but Mercedes can't offer him self to lose some customers.

I agree with larsen. In order to have the advantage in the same class of the cars, C63 should have a powerful engine, which is close to 500bhp, to win over RS4 and M3 with the same price. If Mercedes can put an V8 6.2 engine with 481bhp on CLK63 AMG, they can also do it on the all new C63 AMG!

Anyone considering a Mercedes-Benz would first think of quality and service, if price tag is what you're worried about, Mercedes may be the wrong brand for you. Aside from that, the new 63 is a wonderful undertaking by AMG motors and it appears they live up to their name producing 451 bhp and similar torque.

Bravo Mercedes!

She's rated as one of the best sports sedans in the world, but her hard and spartan ride is something like a crime of conscience.
It is a means not to disturb sales of larger-engined versions of E-class(as E63AMG and E550) and S-class,in my notion.
In other point of view, she's quite astonishing and fascinating, for superb blend of chassis, power unit, and handling. I've heard of an example of C63AMG posting 0-100km/h in sub-4sec,that's a very Porsche Turbo contender!
