2008 Suzuki Swift: Minor Upgrades

Oh boy, another Japanese only press release to rely on. Well, according to the translation we made, along with a new (?) 1.2-litre engine available with a CVT gearbox the Swift received a handful of minor upgrades for the 2008 models. Aesthetic changes include the slightly redesigned front & rear bumpers, the new grille, the adoption of turning signals on the side mirrors and new rear light-clusters while interior changes concern the upgraded trim levels. Finally, Suzuki also slightly altered the gear ratios of the Swift Sport. Expect these mods to pass onto the European edition of the Swift later on the year. -Click “Read More…” for more Photos

    Suzuki USA- Big mistake not bringing this here NOW. A Swift GT would be great in the Mini Cooper S competitor market. Do it NOW and get it here. No excuses.

    Susuki usa should bring this car and get rid of the reno which is ugly, I lived in europe last year and fell in love with the car, thinking "well when i get back I am gonna get one", well instead i found the reno, too bad I went ahead and bought a mini cooper S.

    I sure wish they sold the SWIFT again in USA ! My 1997 SWIFT is getting very tired, and would like to rest......extremely reliable and safe vehicle..well built by a very good organization of men & women.

    The best looking and best driving small car on the planet, and Suzuki won't sell it in the States?
    We truely are becoming a third world country!

    I understand that Suzuki dealers were polled as to importing the Swift, and they voted "NO". In Charlottesville, VA the Suzuki dealership just went out of business.

    Don't ask. Just offer. We'll buy.
