Peugeot 308 Official Announcement

|

“The New Peugeot 308 Announced: The Peugeot 308 hatchback will be launched in Europe in the autumn; it will replace the 307 hatchback, which has been an important car in the Peugeot range with worldwide sales exceeding 3,000,000. It will be produced in France, at the production sites of Sochaux and Mulhouse and will be available in three and five door versions. The 308 will also be a very environmentally friendly vehicle”

Talk about a Spartan press release… Is it me or does Peugeot seem pissed off cause three out of the four pictures they released today have been circulating in the internet the past few weeks? I mean, they didn’t even inform us, when or where, the 308 will make its global debut! Mon dieu...-Continued below

She sells fairly well in Europe, but still struggles to cut her way into VW Golf's brigade in European entry-midsize sphere.
Frankly speaking, her concept is somewhat off the mark, too wide width contributes little to her roominess, while her luggage space and backspace are barely enough. So she feels unsubtle in handling or whole agility areas.
Certainly her 1.6-litres turbo makes immense torque enough to pull her up to 220-230km/h bracket on European Autobahn, while her fuel consumption is almost equal to conventional 2.0-litres unit. That's commendable for a 150bhp turbo unit, and especially recently born 175bhp guise feels as windy and smooth as 2.5-litres unit! Along with it,diesel guises are formidable up to today's standard.
But her concept still seems to be unsharp, and her handling is less agile than that of Ford Focus. In several British medias, her total score is inferior to Korean Hyundai i30!
