We’re inaugurating our newly bought image space here on Carscoop -can’t have everything for free!, by presenting about 100 high-res pictures of Fiat’s highly anticipated Nuovo 500; a car that Fiat’s CEO Sergio Marchionne believes will become the Italian carmaker’s iPod. "I want Fiat to become the Apple of automobiles. And the 500 will be our iPod," Marchionne said in an interview published Wednesday on the Italian newspaper

very very nice
very very nice
I like this car. The interior especially. Yes, this is no Jaguar, but the interior, unlike small Japanese Kei-type cars, has a well-designed and thought-out dashboard and fittings, not just another rehash from the corporate parts bin. Or, at least if it is, they blend it well enough. Much inspiration seems to have gone into even the steering wheel colour combinations.
The car looks much nicer that the similar looking Ford Ka.I especially like the bright interior. But I really doubt Fiat will become as they put it, Apple of cars. That's impossible for them.
Who will then become the Apple of cars? Ford? GM? Toyota? Let's not forget what country has the best artists/designers, from clothes and shoes all the way to cars. Virtually all car manufacturers in the world have some Italian designers or have their cars designed in Italian houses. And virtually all better looking cars were designed by an Italian. Also, let's not forget, Fiat builds Alfa Romeo. Talk about sexy.... Fiat also owns 85% of Ferrari. Which means access to a lot of things, design, mechanical, you name it, gained through Formula 1 participation where they've been winning a lot along the years, including the last several years. So personally I do believe Fiat does at least have the right to aspire to become the Apple of the auto world based only on these facts. Of course Ford has the same right too. Although I do feel it might take a while...
Just my 2 cents...
PS: I am not Italian... nor am I married to one!
This car is an absolute join to drive. I remember when I lived in Rome, Italy and drove the old Fiat 500, it was then a great classic car. Go job Fiat, I agree it will be a real iPod :-)
My primary concern would be with the quality and workmanship of the product. My brother's experience with a Fiat Spyder was abysmal, the car leaked oil constantly and the fit and finish of the vehical were sub par.
When is this car coming out i want one!!!!!
