Boo, It’s the Geely Aoo...

Our first thought upon seeing the Geely Aoo was that someone in China managed to create the perfect movie car for the manic masked killer from the Scream Trilogy. Well, we were wrong, as this freak of a car will actually go on sale in China after its debut at the Guangzhou Auto later this year. -Continued after the jump

The goggle-eyed Geely Boo –er, we mean Aoo, is said to be powered by a 3-cylinder petrol unit. But who cares; it’s not as if Geely’s going to sell it outside China. You know something, maybe its better if Chinese automakers stick to replicating European or Japanese cars rather than trying to design them…

    hmmm, toyota and PSA gonna sue somebody. 2nd clone of the toyota/citroen/peugeot b1 small cars, first the byd f1, now this monstrosity. for once im glad we live in the age of litigation, cos this shouldn't be allowed.

    classic recipe for a chinese car: buy a european one, copy it...badly, drop it outta the ugly tree and add a brand name that sounds like an aspirational european or japanese one. all done. im gonna go to china and build the merc-beem-audi "supercar sports royalty"...which would be totally NOT(coff coff) based on the toyota corolla and looks like an unholy union between a smart car and a bmw x6, should sell millions

    well they are - have you ever seen the back end of a Toyota Aygo? That's exactly what this looks like. And if that's not a Geely replica of a Toyota Rav4 on the background... :p

    Yes, they do copy and paste at this car too. From what I can see the interior looks a bit like a mic of fiat 500 (seats) and Mini (Radio-Climate-Unit... Didn't knew the word for that... I'm from Germany. Let's say "Mittelkonsole").
    And even though it does look ugly.

    Im sorry i dont go along with many on here but i think the Geely is KEWL and would be big hit with College kids to Elderly, and kudos for China being one of few car companies to show more than a quick pass at 'gong green' for our planet and future childrens sake (remember when most writers first saw that "super tiny awkward ugly car" years ago,,,, years later it was still called HONDA and was one of best cars out there haha that not all americans want giant big dinosaur gas guzzlers to muddle from gas station to station and help give our 'leaders' reasons to go to war for more gas :( really strange ....and i LIKE GEELY : )
