We could easily see these VW Bus / Transporter replicas based on the Subaru Sambar, a JDM microvan equipped with a 0,6-litre turbocharged engine, becoming a one-night craze. The transformation looks quite simple as it only involves a new front-end, a cool paintjob and a set of rims. @ John, I remembered seeing this while surfing www.globalautoindex.com a while back, and upon seeing this, I went back and found the company. BTW Japan has numerous companies like this one "retro-izing" kei cars and vans. Some of them are pretty sweet indeed.
You can import these sweet little vans from Japan to Canada, already converted, for $5,000- $8,000 CAD.
