We could easily see these VW Bus / Transporter replicas based on the Subaru Sambar, a JDM microvan equipped with a 0,6-litre turbocharged engine, becoming a one-night craze. The transformation looks quite simple as it only involves a new front-end, a cool paintjob and a set of rims. We discovered a couple of these miniscule replicas for sale on eBay UK, but if any of you guys have more information on the company that makes them, don’t hesitate to send us an email. -Continued after the jump

@ John, I remembered seeing this while surfing www.globalautoindex.com a while back, and upon seeing this, I went back and found the company. BTW Japan has numerous companies like this one "retro-izing" kei cars and vans. Some of them are pretty sweet indeed.

You can import these sweet little vans from Japan to Canada, already converted, for $5,000- $8,000 CAD.
