Talk about the ultimate sleeper; Kari Makela and his fellow workers at the Mäkelä Auto-Tuning company (MAT) that’s based in Finland have created a one-of-a-kind 1929 Ford Model-A equipped with a rally-bred Ford Cosworth engine! When the owner of the 1929 Ford Model-A visited the Finnish company he not only asked to restore his classic vehicle but he also wanted to give it some extra power without however ruining the car’s vintage appearance.

The guys at MAT did precisely as asked fully restoring the Model-A to its original condition and adding a 250 HP 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder powertrain from a Ford Escort BDA Cosworth Group 4 Rally Car! According to the Finnish company, the rally-powered Model-A can go from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5,0 sec while it achieves a top speed of 124 mph or 200 km/h. -More pics after the jump

0-60mph in 5 sec with THOSE tyres and spokes? No thanks. Absolutely lovely restoration though, you wouldn't for a second think it has a volcano under the bonnet just by looking at it.

The look on the face of the driver of the WRX at the lights would be priceless.

Conversely, I think it'd be cool to put a Prius engine configuration in a Veyron, just for kicks. 0-60mph in 13 sec in a Veyron? Bring it on.

If it manages to out-drag something, I imagine the next corner could be way too exciting...
