Even though we absolutely love the iconic 2CV, the classic Citroen would probably be one of the last cars that we’d think about if we were to build a hot rod. However, we quickly changed our mind after seeing this unfinished project, at least in terms of styling cause we’re not sure how and if, the owner if the 2CV hot rod will be able to fit a V8 engine under that minuscule hood. -More pics after the jump

How about keeping it traditional by placing a boxer motor under the hood, namely the flat-4 Subaru motor, intercooler and turbo. It'll be similar to the DS/CX boxer and quite a bit more powerful than a V8. Doesn't need to be 4wd. Seal the rear part of the tranny or leave part of the driveshaft knuckle in place.
Well, who needs a V8 engine if there is electric power available nowadays.
Hardly any bigger motors as the original flat twin engine and superiour power and torque ratings... Do reinforce the 2CV chassis if you please...and for god sakes, fit a roll cage too...
