Do you know if Nissan is even considering in putting the new 3.0 litre TDV6 Renault/Nissan engine in the Navara?
I know that this engine will be in the Maxima for the US market.
This engine would be the logical upgrade for the Nissan Navara D40 line-up. This engine could also be fitted on the Pathfinder or in the Patrol.
The current 2.5 litre engine is OK, but needs to be push hard when towing and it is a bit slugish.
The power and torque from the new TDV6 engine is impressive and the fuel consumption is pretty good as well.
Since we are the largest market for the Patrol, I think that Nissan should be taking better care for the Australian consumers.
This engine on the Navara would definitely worry Toyota and Mitsubishi.
What do you think?
Kind Regards,
Carlos F.
