We just got our hands on a new set of mages featuring the three-door version of the 2008 Mazda2 (called Demio in Japan) that will premiere at the 78th annual Geneva International Motor Show. The 3door Mazda2 will come with the same MZR 1.3-liter and 1.5- liter gasoline, powertrains, and the same MZ-CD 1.4-liter common-rail turbo diesel, as the five-door hatchback. –High-res image gallery after the jump

Yes indeed...superb looking small car. These are the cars we need....and put in a nice hybrid system in there and you have a real winner.

Don't these also come in 4 doors?

the beauty of small cars like this with a 1.3L is you dont need a heavy, expensive hybrid system that only the dealer can service.Keep it simple.

Very nice, especially for someone that doesn't need the size or lower gas mileage of the Mazda3 hatch. All of the info I've found on the Mazda2 gives the weight and gas mileage in metric though. Has anyone done the conversion?
