Brand New Hyundai Genesis Sedans Get a Bit Too Intimate... | Carscoop

Yes, accidents can happen to anyone, anytime and anywhere. Still, and even though we’re not exactly sure how the sliver 2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan fell off from the transport truck onto its blue-colored sibling somewhere in Korea, we certainly wouldn’t want to be in the driver’s shoes when he called in to report the incident… -More images of the accident after the jump

I'm in design profession. I see many designers laughing at people who copy others. In many case those are not even able to copy others right and their own stuffs are even never good as copy. Copy isn't bad itself. Copy becomes bad when it ends up just as copy. But when copy becomes another creation after many practice of copy, it's good copy. Way I see Hyundai in old time was making bad copies. But it seems getting better and better. We have to wait and see if they create their own after all.

Good riddance to badly designed crap by Hyundai! Copy good or bad is still a copy! There's a difference between taking good styling cues and adapting it to an original design and what Hyundai is doing - taking bits and pieces from different cars and coming up with a horrible looking car. What a crap looking car all and all.

    Angry Anon,

    You obviously aren't very mature.

Leave this website alone, this great site does not need your childish posts littering every article.

Who cares what you think of Hyundai? You are obviously of Asian decent, seeing as your English is utterly dreadful, so possibly your country and Korea don't get along?

Is that the reason you hate Hyundai and Kia so much? Because of some racial tension?

I'm not a big Hyundai fan myself, but your comments aren't appreciated by me. You are a MORON.

Furthermore, it is obvious you are the person at the centre of the 'Korean Car Post' issue, so why CarScoop still let's you post is beyond me.

And why don't you put your name on your threads? Is it because you are a coward?

Um... yeah, exactly what car does this copy? pick one. they all look the same nowadays anyway... Its not like the Camry or Accord have radical styling cues... your argument is laughable.

Oh and hyundai is still rated much higher in quality than any of the Detroit three... Or any German/Euro brand. Any. Welcome to 2008!

so for all you bashing Hyundai, you do realize that your Honduh Cvics are all bastard children of other cars?

    "Oh yeah, I have VTec."

-Grats to you, you have just as much lag as a turbo, but none of the boost.

There are alot of people out there hating on hyundai because they are afraid that a company that used to build crap cars in the 90's has surpased the quality and reliability of other top brands. im a mechanic and from what i see, hyundai the past few years has built much better cars than alot of german and american made vehicles, honda and toyota are still top brands but i see hyundai now as the next toyota.
hyundai has now even surpased the quality of nissan.
welcome to 2008 people!, we ain't in the 90's anymore.

Im looking forward to purchasing one of those turbo charged genesis coupes. I think that car is much better looking than the lexus G37.

"Copy good or bad is still a copy!" I'm laughing at you now. Unless you are really able to do what others do, you should respect what other people do. Too many are just good at talking while they never do.

The genesis page on this site has a very good list of the cars styling cues this has ripped off

    3 series tails
    Lexus headlights
    S class hood and grille
And an Aston Martin Logo look alike?!

and NO all cars do not look the same to the trained eye. To the economy car lover with no knowledge of high class cars a S class and CLS might be the same thing, but they are not.

Hyundai makes cheap cars, its a fact. I can cite plastic suspension components in a 2002 Elantra as an example. What Hyundai tries to do is look like cars of a certain class and sell cheaper and diss on the vehicles it has knocked off. Ever notice that funny Bentley looking rear end on some Kias? This lower price doesnt mean you found a way to beat the germans and japanese engineers with your new weapon- the Korean. It means you get what you pay for, and what you get in a hyundai is sacrifice, lots and lots of sacrifice. "Look at my leather hyundai- Its not premium leather hide like Mercedes puts in every vehicle, but hey, its all dead cow right?" Every part of a hyundai is compromised from its cardboard sun visors to its plastic suspension.

wowwwww hey mr "mechanic" theres no such thing as a lexus G37

I agree to that hyundai is making better quality cars then they use to be. Look at Honda they use to be shit when they first came out. Also, lets look at the bigger picture here if hyundai sells cars that are cheaper then there competitors and are just as good in quality what will this do to the overall car market? DUH it will force there competitors to drive the prices down on there cars. I foresee hyundai evolving into a good car company. Also, how about this kicker you probably think since they are a foreign car company that all there cars are assembled in another country besides the United States. If you are thinking this you are very wrong. Actually Hyundai just opened a manufacturing plant in the United States so they don't have to pay transport costs from overseas so they can offer you a cheaper car. I am defending hyundai in this case not because I am an owner or even a soon to be buyer. I am defending them because they have come a long way and that they will slowly change the car market for the better. In that case they receive my respect.
