Buick’s Chinese arm has refreshed its Excelle subcompact sedan for the 2009 MY. On the outside, the 2009 Excelle’s appearance is partially inspired by Buick’s flagship model in China; the Holden Statesman based Park Avenue. The facelifted Excelle, which by-the-way is based on the Chevrolet / Daewoo Lacetti, also features a redesigned interior. Buick’s new Chinese subcompact sedan will make its public debut later this month at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show. –More images after the jump

This design of headlight is copied from Brilliance BS6. The front bumper is copied from toyota camry(Chinese edition http://img1.qq.com/auto/pics/3057/3057221.jpg).

    But Carscoop didn't realize it!

Why? Because it is a Buick!

These days everyone thinks everything is copied off everything else. The reality is that car design is now so generic because all the designers and stylists come to much the same solutions independently. Buyers tastes everywhere are inherently conservative and that is reflected in the styling.
