BMW X3 Ad Makes Fun of American Truck Based SUVs

|
This BMW X3 TV commercial gave us a good laugh today with its overly sarcastic humor. It depicts a guy driving an American SUV (it looks like a GM model) who suddenly hits the brakes only to see the body of his vehicle flying away thus uncovering the truck hidden beneath it. Now if only we had to show you a countermeasure ad featuring the BMW X3 attempting to go off-road… –Video after the jump

Do Bimmer SUVs still exhibit grossly excessive, truck-like ride, teeth-rattling qualities like the first X5 a few years ago? I wonder...

It may ride like a car but at least large truck based SUVs are more stylish, higher quality (GM), more reliable, more iconic, have better offroad ability, more spacious, more comfort, more practical, offer better value, and perform everyday driving duties and needs better than most cars on the road.

He's just completely lost it-BMW is the master, im just generally not a fan of most american vehicles, i dont get the overall feeling of quality with them-on the other hand with BMW i feel like im driving something created by the worlds best automakers. You just cant understand it until you own a bimmer yourself, it becomes a part of you.

Yes, the BMW X3 2009 has the worst ride of any card or SUV I have ever driven. It bounces, jostles, throws things around, undulates on flat, paved roads.

It is ridiculous.

BMW has a lot of gall to sell a car that does this. This is the last BMW I will ever buy.
