Combining a Lotus Super 7 type chassis and looks with a high-tech Siemens electric motor and a set of Lithium Polymer batteries, Evisol’s ThoRR concept is yet another fully electric sportscar. Yet, like the Caterham and the original Lotus Super 7 roadster, the ThoRR does without any modern “luxuries” such as ABS, power assisted braking, power assisted steering, any form of sound absorption, even a roof and a windshield - only the basics of a car remain.
The Siemens electric motor has a continuous output of 91 Hp and a maximum output of 272 Hp while torque figures are 160 Nm and 450 Nm respectively. The ThoRR, which does not have a gearbox, weighs in at just 755 kg or 1,664 lbs so despite the fact that Evisol hasn’t announced any performance figures, we presume that it will probably be pretty fast. -Continued
The company does mention however that under the New European Driving Cycle tests, its batteries are good enough to power it for 200 km or 124 miles.
