Developed exclusively for the Japanese market, the Biante is Mazda’s newest proposition in the MPV category. The full-size minivan with its semi-concept looks can seat up to eight-passengers in three rows of seats with the rear occupants entering the car through a pair of sliding doors.
Mazda says that the name Biante’ was coined from the English word, ambient, “to create the impression of a unified interior space that contributes to an enjoyable and comfortable in-car experience for all the vehicle’s occupants,” – whatever that means. The Japanese carmaker hasn’t released any more information on the Biante apart that it will go on sale in

Thats gotta be teh ugliest thing I have seen since the SSangyong Actyon. Its not against the rules to make a people mover desirable you know. As if a person with 5 kids doesnt have it tough enough already.....
Word!
Almost hate to admit it, but I like it in part. I like the front end and th way the highlights follow the side of the car etc, but I dont care for the back-end.
The wheels also look far too small. Not sure I understand the overhead interior look at the seats. ZERO legroom for the 4th row? (I assume the second row is folded down?)
Hi Scott,
"ZERO legroom for the 4th row? (I assume the second row is folded down?)"
No, the rear row is folded down and the second row movew to te far end to make more middle space. I am living in Japan and saw the car, already drove it for a test and will by it - it is extremly convenient, flexible and fun to drive - much easier than its pretty huge outer look tells.
