When $72k can put you behind the wheel of the awesome 2009 Nissan GT-R (in the U.S.), even the $79,995 that Ford officially asks for Shelby Mustang GT500KR sounds a lot. Despite the 540Hp supercharged V8 that lurks under those menacing looks and the fact that only 1,746 unit will be produced, in the end, the GT500KR is still a Mustang.

So you can probably guess the first word that came into mind when we saw that a Ford dealer in Houston Texas put up a red Shelby GT500KR for sale on eBay with a “Buy It Now” price of… $154,991. All we can say is that with $30,000 less, you can leave a Porsche dealership with a brand-new 911 GT3 RS… -Continued

The only mustangs worth $150k are the original 60s GT500s and KRs.
This example is merely a $30K GT with 10-15K worth of extras. Not worth a dime over 50 grand.

why pay 115K for a Ford?!?!

get a nice Nissan GT-R for less than 90K.... It's better quality, runs faster, and much better looking..

Ford should step in and tell the dealers to stop this BS! The dealers did the same with the GT500 in 07 70-80K fir a 45k car. But in the end the people with the money are the foolish ones...why would you pay that much for a Mustang. I own a 2007 Shelby GT
that I bought in 08. Last summer asking price was 42k this spring 37k... what do you think a 78k asking price will get in spring 09 with $5.00/gal fuel???

You say..."Why do i care what the gas prices are when i just payed 80k for a mustang?" If you can afford such a fine automobile why is anyone worried what gas prices are?

GTR? huh? are you an old lady? just step on gas, the car go faster? if u affordable to buy expensive car, why sacrifice your ride fun? drive mustang, and feel the fun...
