While Ferrari had us glued on their dedicated California website waiting for the countdown to end in order to see more pictures of their hardtop convertible, at the same time the Italian sports carmaker gave German car magazine “Autobild” full access to the newest member of the Prancing Horse family. Not very “internety” of them, to say the least.

The new images give us our first view of the California’s interior which looks very similar in design to the one found in the more upscale Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Kinda toyish and far from the elegant cabins featured in the Ferraris of the past if you want our opinion. -More images after the jump

    It looks like student's project..
Pinin-farina seems lost their design direction after Mr. Okuyama left

very nice, but the side vents and the crease leading back clashes with the crease that leads over the rear wheel arch ... sort of gets "confused" around the door handle area

Even though ferrari marketed this car as a 2+2, there's no way in hell is anyone fitting into those backseats, not even my skinniest/smallest female friend.

I don't like it or hate it, but it looks like the designers put a Maserati from on a Ferrari rear. I was hoping for more. Not that I could afford it anyway.

Rather disappoiting compared to the nice look of the F430

for a second, the back part of the car reminded me of an SL. I kinda like the overall design though, it grew on me. I wasn't a fan when they first release pictures of california some months back. Now, I'm a converter.
