Forget about radar detectors and jammers; if you want to travel around totally incognito then Autoloc’s retractable Hidden License Plate Kit is the ultimate gadget for your car. The kit allows you to swing your licence plate out of view through a remote control unit but alternatively, you can also wire it up to your ignition so it will automatically disappear when you park.
Of course, if you decide to use this 007-esque toy on the road, you’ll definitely get into trouble with the law at some point as even Autoloc clearly points out that it is illegal to hide the licence plate when your vehicle is in motion. So, if can’t use it on the road, where will you use the retractable license plate? According to Autoloc, this gadget is ideal for car shows or when you tow a trailer. Doesn’t seem so cool after all, does it…

The best use would be in situations where there or red light cameras or as I heard of in the UK they are using cameras for speeders.
Turn it on in camera range and turn it back off when out.
kjb, you are unaware that they use cameras for speeders? I thought that was common practice everywhere?
Here in NZ we have cameras located inside vans hidden beside the motorways and on the open road, sometimes even in residential areas. They just look like an ordinary Mitsubishi van. They take a photo of your car if you are exceeding the limit, then you are sent the fine.
hey, they stole this from the mythbusters
how about including a LINK to their web site?
