The train was actually supposed to part to Moscow - it was arriving to the station empty to pick up the passengers.
So far they have accounted it as a mechanical error - lost brakes.

PS. The BMW was parked in a no-parking zone, so the insurance company will most likely present the owner with a selection of assorted fingers. :)

You make it sound as though the owner got killed...
Well, they're claiming that the reason for the accident is still unknown, regardless the fact that the driver had been driving trains for 30 odd years and could probably tell the reason in an instant. I wonder if they've got something to hide?!?
It is also claimed that the BMW was owned by the main cook of the station's restaurant.
None of the above can be regarded as 100% truth though, because those are facts from "Delfi".
