Acura decided to release a teaser image of its 2009 TL sedan that’s set to go on sale in the U.S. this fall. Although Acura didn’t provide any other pictures, the Japanese carmaker was kind enough to inform us that the new TL sedan will be offered in two distinctive versions one of which will be equipped with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. Acura also vaguely states that the TL will feature the brand’s most powerful engine ever. So until Acura releases more details, we’d like to hear what you have to say about the TL’s design. Leave your thoughts in the comment section. Kudos for the tip Jose.S!

I have to admit that I don't mind this new design theme acura has been using. I see the new TL on the street all the time and it looks damn nice. I think this car is going to be even more popular.
I dont mind it either but maybe it's because they've borrowed design cues from every car maker out there. It's not ugly - but it's not gorgeous either. Love those rims though!
Wow! Acura is bringing back the Saturn Ion!!
sigh. very, very cheap construction methods.
Looks like the 2008 Maxima. Weird!
Fugly grille, otherwise not bad looking for a Lexfiniti or whatever. Ohhhh wait...that's supposed to be an Acura? The grille looks like the face of Mater the tow truck in "Cars."
I see nothing wrong with the grill. Its just radical. No one is used to it yet, so why hate on it when its not even out yet? Maybe you can go look at the new TSX, but as far as I know, pictures did not justify how beautiful the grill is.
At first I had doubts about Acrua's new grills, but I went to the dealership and witness the TSX's with my own eyes. They looked great!
I'm really impressed and happy with the way Acrua is moving. Its kinda hard making a BETTER vehicle than the previously top rated TSX and TL.
I believe Acura was once a respectable auto manufacturer, up until about 2006 or so, when that monstrosity RDX hit the streets. It looked like a beached whale. Now the TSX has joined the line up with a soon to follow TL. It is just sad. The TL and TSX used to look so good!
...and this even carried over onto Hondas cars! the Pilot, the civic, the accord, that pickup thing! seriously?? Honda/Acura needs to fire whomever was in charge of their design team (perhaps a blind chimpanzee) and re-start the 2008-2009 lineup from scratch.
I don't understand the polarized response to everything Honda has done in the last few years. People scream love or hate for their recent designs. Sort of reminds of BMW's adventure with Bangle at the head of design. Everyone hated the 7, 5, I-Drive, and yet, BMW continues to own the entire class and remains the benchmark to be emulated. It's quite clear that Honda is taking a similar aggressive, controversial approach to design in order to generate noise in the press, both good and bad...there's simply no such thing as bad press. This thing will sell like stink in the States. I also expect Honda to have nailed the dynamics as well. This certainly will hobble the already slow selling RL though.
Thar she blows!
The car looks solid; nailed to the ground. I can't wait to put a deposit on it. Will I need to test drive it. What for? Its an ACURA.
The old TL couldn't compete with the Lexus ES-350 for the same price point. This new model looks like it can. Honda is obviously going more luxury than sport tuner as far as looks go.
Not bad. Kudos to Acura for adding SH-AWD to the TL at last. Now then, sow me a picture of the TL Type-s with AWD and I'll consider one.
