*Update - Click here for Official High Res Pics and details
Thanks to an anonymous tipster, we know have the first official images of the all-new BMW 7-Series! However, since we don’t have any official technical information whatsoever, we’ll stick to the car’s design. First of all, it’s much better looking than the current 7er, but then again, anything is prettier than that.
If you love clichés, the rear quarter of the new 7-Series does remind us of the Hyundai Genesis sedan, but bear in mind that the Koreans were the ones to copy BMW not the other way around. The new Bavarian flagship model’s exterior styling does share many elements from the CS Concept, especially in concern of the front-end design.
We also have the first photos of the interior which doesn’t seem as loaded and “heavy” in terms of styling compared to the current 7-Series. The design pretty much follows in the footsteps of the current bimmers, albeit the centre console does look to be more driver orientated –More pictures after the jump

I don't like it... the front design is terrible. The interior are good. Not a good BMW for me!
Very classy car!Good looking, well-proportioned!Every detail of the body shows the designer's care!I like the rear lights;they resemble those on the E32 generation of the 7er!The dashboard isn't so exclusive anymore, but it doesn't lack quality;it's a bit too sporty for such a car, but all in all, it goes for me!Definitely a limousine to have!
I was surprised to see the Bangle butt is gone, thoough I am not a big fan of that myself.
Thought it was a face-lifted 5 series. Don't write that it resembles the beautiful CS in any way. They tried to make the lights look similar but did not succeed..The same in all other areas. I really don't understand them. CS is a must-have, this one is nothing special.
WOW, what a dissapointment! I did not like the current 5er when it was revealed, but after seeing it with the M-Sport packet/M5 body kit, it looks really attractive.
Considering the E38 was lackluster until the 1999-2001 Sport with shadowline trim and double parallel spoke rims, I imagine this will get better with time.
Until then, it's a no for me, but it does have a lot of potential. Can't wait to see the new AUDI A8 and JAGUAR XJ next year.
Oh and, the current S-Class and the LEXUS LS are better looking cars IMHO.
I would have honestly preferred the Bangle butt, as compared to this Citroen C5 lookalike. Just for comparison, here's a pic of the new C5's rear end:

The resemblance is almost ghastly..
Good grief. So many self-appointed car designers here.
The new 7 is a friggin' masterpiece.

People have opinions about automotive design. In pictures I feel that the new 7 is too bland and timidly styled. It will probably be a more imposing presence on the road.
The new 7 is a friggin' masterpiece.
That's one opinion.
Thank god someone figured to return the gear shift back to its rightful place at the center console! That little pecker lever by the wheel was very emasculating!
That's a start in itself!
I have to agree. This thing is gorgeous. But the out-going model was the BMW "we had to have" The result is amazing. This thing is considered, proportionate and a great step forward for the discerning CEO etc etc.
Take that hockey stick curve from behind the front wheel arch through the bottom of the doors to the rear, a lovely Rolls Royce cue. The new "small" Roller should be something.
Just an opinion.
the headlight and taillights are a true dissapointment. Theyve now been watered down. The front tail-lights appear real generic. They look similar to so many other cars on the market. The rear taillights have no symbolic or cohesive qualities to the rest of the car. They just sort of make a wierd blob shape. Not impressed at all from the outside. Everything else pretty much looks the same practically.
Not bad, the old was a disgrace, but this car possess nothing exciting or fun, why buy a boring BMW?
Opel Insignia is everything this car isn't.
The 7 is even ugly when you look at the sexy and beautiful Insignia
i still enjoy the E38 over these bangle models but this could grow on me.
