Despite the French title, the scale model you see pictured above is actually the work of a Russian designer named Arseny Kostromin who’s a graduate of the Moscow State Technical University (MAMI). Kostromin’s proposal for a modern successor to the iconic Renault Alpine A110 really caught our attention thanks to its simple design and most importantly, because it pays tribute to the original concept without going retro-haywire. Maybe Renault should give this guy a chance for its long rumored Alpine sportscar. -Image gallery after the jump

Like Audi R8 school.
Daaah, ugly
This is nice...if I had money I would develop it, with a few minor tweaks.
just needs a little tidying up for production considerations, I'd buy one only if Renault / Alpine built it.
Totally R8,the idea was stolen from the audi :((
it fits the present super car trend, and form some angles it is quite similar to the Audi R8.
Carscoop will provide the R8, I'll prove the many gallons of paper mache and we'll have one built by the fall :D.
Yeah, copy of R8, in ugglier.
COPY OF THE R8 ?!?!?! You guys have no idea what youre talking about. It may have a couple of similarities to the R8 but then you could argue that all cars look the same because they all have wheels !
I think its a good effort. Well done !
Yup Bangle is correct. Some ignorant ppl see the 2 tone (silver stripe) end yell R8. Pls go study the old alpines and see where the design heritage come from.
Compared to the ugly concepts I have seen the car magazine showing off as the next possible Alpine, this is a breath of fresh air. I'd lose the silver accent on the side to shut up the "A8 copier" crowd. Renault should pay attention and built this, rather than some stodgy boring family car.
