Αs if accident-prone supercar owners weren’t enough of a hazard, we now have to deal with test drivers. And when we say test drivers, we don’t mean the professional sort but your everyday Joe who decides to take a supercar for a spin or in the case of the 33-year-old man from The Netherlands, for a catastrophic plunge. According to reports from the Dutch press, the 33-year-old man whose name hasn’t been released yet took the brand-new Audi R8 for a test drive near the town of
Luckily, no one got hurt but the Audi R8 that costs a staggering €157,630 or $232,500 in The Netherlands is considered a total loss. The Dutch press reported that while the speed limit on the particular road is 80 km/h or 50 mph, the R8 driver said he was going about 130 km/h or 80 mph. Unconfirmed reports say that he might have been going as fast as 200 km/h or 125 mph. Of course speed alone doesn’t (fully) justify the accident. According to the Dutch police, the accident may have been caused by a bump on the road at the point where the driver of the R8 lost control of the vehicle. -More images after the jump

Tt least he was breaking hard. Could be bad road after all.
PIE
skid mark on 2nd pic from bottom appears to be right on the white line/edge of the grass...maybe braking with 2 wheels on the grass could have caused the loss of control?
Well, when your doing a BUCK-25 and catch a small dip in the road that unloads you suspention... well lets just have a little math quiz.......
125m/hr + dip in road + unloaded suspention + scared sh*tless test-dirver = $130Grand poorer scared sh*tless test-driver.
Look for it on carfax haha!!
Looks like he almost made it across the canal. Should have tried 150 mph.
He wasn't braking. That skid mark is from where the car started to spin and was sideways. The car has ABS so it would leave very little marks from hard braking.
Am I the only one who thinks the top picture can't even win 3rd place in a Photoshop contest? Why isn't there any water lapping at the rear third of the car? Why does the far side of the windshield appear to be reflecting an environment different from the one it is in? I call party foul, fake.
YES you're the only one ... the photos are very clearly REAL ... what are you on about (or just on)? ... lol
Maybe he was trying to jump a stream.
