Video: Swedes Build World’s Most Extreme Toyota Prius

|
Extreme Toyota Prius HybridJust in case you forgot the definition of ‘rice burner’, this video will definitely refresh your memory. Dubbed the world’s most extreme Toyota Prius, the custom-made hybrid that you’re looking at is the work of Classe Gustafson, Kenny Kyrk and Elvis Haggbom from Classe’s Garage. The three Swedes spent about 1,000 hours and a staggering 1 million Swedish Kronas or $159,000 / €106,000 to completely transform the appearance of the humble-looking Prius.

Extreme Toyota Prius HybridAside from the wide-bodykit, the 20-inch alloy rims wrapped in ultra fat rubber and the inverted Koenigsegg doors, the crew from Classe’s Garage paid a lot of attention to the interior of the Prius. As you can see in the video and the pictures we ‘snapped’ from the film, the Swedish Prius has more LCD screens than a NASA mission control… -Continued

As with every rice burner that respects itself, the pimped Prius also gets an audio system that can be heard from tens of miles away along with a tablet PC, a set of bucket front seats and last but not least, the Swedes moved the gearbox shifter from the dashboard to the lower part of the centre console and replaced the gear knob with a black pool ball.

"Ricer," I believe you mean "reefer" as that must have been what they were smoking when they made this!

All that money, hard work, and dedication went in to such an elaborate project, and yet, it feels like they're forgetting one very simple thing: IT'S STILL A PRIUS.

isn't this against the whole environmental premise of what the Prius stands for and gives thought to the phrase; just because you can, doesn't mean you should have!

Did them tune the engine?

What a waste of money!

what's with all this "it's just a prius" business... car customizers come in all shapes and sizes, even though there's no accounting for poor or bad taste (of course I own a prius myself that I do intend to trick out, but more mild than wild)

I didn't think it was possible to make the Prius any more terrible than it already is...

I guess I was wrong.

They should of put more time into making Volvos and Saabs look like show cars, than take a Toyota Prius and downgrade it.

I think it looks cool for being a prius. Obviously all the negativity is due to bias (waaah!!! it's a prius) i have to say that prius looks cool when it's fixed up.

The fact that it's a prius IS what makes it pimp. Taking the insanely flamboyant, goofy, campy, cheesy and/or boring and turning-it-out, into something original and markedly cool.P.I.M.P. Screw you haters that don't understand the true concept of pimpin. Go buy another pair of levi's and fall in line. http://www.myspace.com/iculess
