GreenPeace Mercedes-Benz ML-Class Climate PigLast year it was Porsche, now it was Mercedes-Benz’ turn to get a taste of how it feels to be targeted by Greenpeace. The self-proclaimed eco-warriors staged a protest in front of a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Cologne, Germany. As they did last year at Porsche central offices in Stuttgart, Greenpeace activists accused Mercedes-Benz of manufacturing “Climate Pigs”. And just in case someone did not value the meaning of the term, the demonstrators presented a pink ML-Class all dressed up in pig ears and snout. -Continued

We hope that next time Greenpeace decides to target a car manufacturer they’ll come up with something a bit more creative as to be totally honest, the piggy theme is starting to get old.

U'd think they'd be more creative than that. Didn't they use that same thing at Frankfurt? How did they get the car to the dealer? By actually buying one, don't they contribute to the destruction they claim to wanting to prevent?

And did they use bio-degradable materials? Guess not. Hypocrits.

I love how the article below this and the article above this are about Mercedes making great strives in fuel economy and environmental impact. Clean Diesels and Li-Ion Hybrids: yeah, they aren't green at all...

    ...whatever.

Global warming will end when the liberal nutcases stop talking about it. M-B's contribution to this imagined crisis is nothing.

If they're interested in saving the earth, why don't they picket a Chinese power plant instead?

What will the water cost to clean up that poor car?

What have these "eco-warrios" done to help the environment besides making a fool out of themselves? they're a waste of good breathable air!

Anyway heavy weight is a serious problem to reduce CO2 emission. Al Gore is Nobel Price for Peace and nature is our legacy. Mercedes can perform better engeneering!

Happy owner of a daihatsu cuore 104gCO2/km (big lovers don't need big cars)

    wtf...

its obvious, they are farming millions of pigs in chicken cages..

picket a chinese power plant? i think 10,000,000 cage kept geneticly modified/mutated pigs would produce more greenhouse gasses than a chinese power plant.
