Jeep Patriot 2009 MOPAR AccesoriesThe exterior color scheme is continued in the Patriot’s interior which has been enhanced with satin chrome detailing on the door locks, door handles, shifter knob, console and air vents. Furthermore, Jeep has used a special material on the top-end of the steering wheel and the seat bolsters and head restraints. The material is inspired by wet suits and scuba equipment and is made from a smooth urethane that can hold up either wet or dry.

I really like the exterior feature of the car, but the inside materials are still very flimsy. You can literally
push the cardboard celling up and down with little pressure. The vents feel 3rd rate and don't match
the true styling of the car. And finally, the front view
seems like your looking out of a VW bug with obstruction caused by the side pillars. I won't go into detail about entry/exit for the rear passengers, but it is poorly designed too.
Hopefully the next generation Patriot will be more CR-V like in quality and presentation if they want Jeep to survive.

I agree the styling is great and the interior is cheap, but I think it's unfair to compare the Patriot to the CR-V when the CR-V sell for at least 1.5 times more than the Patriot.

I drove the 09 version and the interior is much better than the original version, does not feel at all cheap anymore, let alone for the price it costs. Actually looks and feels good, although I still don't like how my right knee rests on the center console dash area. As for the roof, I did not spend a lot of time looking at it, whats the honda look like?

The Patriot realy stands on it's own merrits. It look like no other car in it's class and it feels and rides lke a true suv unlike the cr-v. The inside is a little utilitarian, but when you take it out off roading or to the beach you don't have to worry about the interior, it is ment to be abused and enjoyed. No comments on the roof I keep my eyes an the road most of the time. But the greatest beauty of the Patriot is all the looks and complements I get when I'm out on the road in mine.
