Saab has introduced a new sport version of the 2009 9-3 Convertible developed by Hirsch Performance for the German market. Based on the 9-3 with the 280HP 2.8 V6 engine, the range-topping model gets the full Hirsch treatment with a performance kit that boosts output to 300HP and torque to 400Nm resulting to a 0 - 100 km/h (62mph) time of 6.4 sec and a top speed of 260 km/h (162mph). Other mechanical enhancements include a lowered sport suspension and high performance 345mm brakes. -Continued
The 9-3 Cabriolet Hirsch Edition also sports a subtle bodykit that adds a front splitter, a mesh grille, a rear diffuser that houses new exhaust tailpipes and 19-inch alloy wheels available in matte black or satin silver finish.

Is it just me or are Saabs' becoming incredibility boring? I mean when was the last millennium that there was as style change?
I'd have to say that Saab's have not come as quickly in style changes as other manufacturers who are owned by one of the big 3. The basic style of the Saab remains the same since the early 80s. The only difference seems like a more OEM-aggressive image thanks to added body parts supposedly for aero-dynamics, but we all know that most of the additions aren't functional and at such relatively low speeds, even if it were meant to be functional, you'd need to be going high speeds (at least 120+) to really feel the effect of it.
All in all, I don't mind the old shape of the Saab and this just has an added touch, but I do agree with anonymous (1st post, as there could be others soon after) that not much has changed.
The problem is although it's a European car, the fact that it costs a boat load of $$$ for adding options, it doesn't help to justify if this vehicle will make the top 5 BEST Euro vehicles in its class.
So, it serves a unique crowd and amazingly it is still here, no matter if GM is falling apart.
Sweet looking convertible - this would look even better if it was a saloon though, in black!
