Officially, the third generation Prius that will compete head on with Honda's all-new Insight Hybrid (see our xtra large gallery here and the video here) scheduled to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2009, with worldwide sales following shortly after. Sources within Toyota have stated that the new hybrid model will be slightly larger in dimensions than the current Prius. -Continued
We've also heard that while the 2010 Prius will retain the nickel-metal batteries -at least in the beginning of its career- Toyota will use a larger in displacement yet more fuel efficient 4-cylinder engine than the current 1.5-liter unit.

I think it looks real, like I mean you can't fake the interior pictures
a) If I were a photoshop whiz I would spend my time creating cars other than the Prius
b) The styling details seem to fit the spyshots we do have, don't they? I think the new direction is an improvement.
Even if these are fake, would not be surprised at all if the production Prius looked 95% like this.
The Exterior shot isn't real but the interior shot are pretty accurate. We'll see in either LA or Detroit for sure.
I like this new design if its real. I like the Honda Insight interior better.
I call fake. Why is the headlight in photo #3 different than that in photo #4?
And why does the headlight in photo #3 have a touch of Nissan Maxima?
Nonetheless, the Insight still looks better, and is cheaper.
i think is for real
Bend over. It's a giant suppository!
