At next month's 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Subaru will take the covers off the Legacy Concept that essentially previews the shape and styling of the next generation Legacy sedan and station models which are due to arrive in late 2009 and early 2010 in some markets including the U.S.A. Along with the official NAIAS announcement, Subaru issued a teaser picture of the concept revealing the mid-size sedan's front-end styling. The crew over at Japan's Best Car magazine took this photo and created a rendering of what the production version of the 2010 Legacy Sports Tourer (station-wagon) may look like when it is unveiled in 2009.
Even though we've yet to see the concept in full form, we reckon that Best Car's artist impression gives us a pretty accurate view of the 2010 Legacy Sports Tourer, especially in what concerns the car's fascia.

why ruin a good thing......
"Ruin a good thing."
That's Subaru's new motto, didn't you hear?
Wow . . . that's hell-a ugly.
Horrible rendering of the car, most of the design elements are completly different , that is really bad.
no way, it won't look like that rendering.
just imagine the concept with real mirrors, proper lights in the headlamp shape and real foglights and then you have the real thing.
looks good - anythings better than the impreza face - the rear is alright because it looks like nothing else
Very sophisticated design for a 'Long Roof' Subaru. Hope it gets built. Subaru trying to shake it's Birkenstock look?
A Knesal .......... Portland Oregon
The only thing wrong with subarues is the bad mpg that they get. Hopefuly it will be better with the new design.
I am "borrowing" for the day a subaru legacy from my local dealer...It is okay...4 spd automatic seems outdated..I do like that center console is oriented towards the driver....
what are people's comments/suggestions/questions???
I am sure I will get the "hard sell" when I go back....
I had never driven a Subaru...every other thing on the market currently seems quite bland...or there is a gap b/wn econobox and SUV...in my own humble opinion, civic are sporty somewhat....I suppose....
I agree w/anonymous...bad mpg, dont want to be penalized when new CAFE standards take effect for driving "gas guzzler"....anyway....
What is avg. discount on new car these days??
I know depreciation is crazy...ESPECIALLY if a new model is coming out almost immediately....
