Furthermore, the SE grade gets additional tuning and 179-horsepower, 21 more than its predecessor.

My friend works for Toyota in Belgium, and she is being laid off in March, losing her job. A single mother she's on her own with a 10 month old baby boy. Her supervisor just fired a young woman who is eight months pregnant, apparently because she's black/mixed, Congolese and European. I despise racists who would use the economic downturn to cull the workplace of anyone they find objectionable based upon the color of their skin. Perhaps Toyota should pay more attention to the people they put in supervisory positions and the open prejudice they demonstrate.

Screw the Toyota Corporation, what good is all their money and market share when they let good people and children down like this. Padding their workforce with temporary workers that they deprive of benefits, security and dignity. Then jettisoning them in the hopes of trimming their losses marginally. Why can't corporations take their losses like men, because they aren't men, they're run by weasel scum who see human beings as nothing more than replaceable cogs in their machine, disposable parts to be discarded in favor of cheaper inferior models. That's the problem with the car business today, no heart, no soul, and no integrity.

Words no longer mean anything. Be it words for justice or words of honor they mean nothing now. How many executives have choosen money over their reputations.

Fight them at their own game. Speak with your wallet.

Aaron X - Given the worker's protection in Europe, particularly the Worker's Council in Belgium, I find your story very hard to believe. If it is true, it had to be approved by the Worker's Council in that country, so perhaps your anger is misdirected.

They just announced pricing for new Camry??? I have seen several of this on the street already for the last couple of months...
When I spotted the 2010 Camry the first time at a local supermarket, I checked the website and they still had the "old" '09 model -- How come you can see the cars on the street already sold to customers and the information is not available on the company's website?? Isn't the web supposed to be a fast, breaking-news medium? go wonder...

I am a dealer and We still dont have 2010 camry hybrids in stock and have not heard anything from Toyota about them coming. The article says MAR 2009 i think maybe because of the Economy might have delayed it. Anyway, The ones you are seeing might be just for show and not for sale. The body of the 2010 and 2009 very similiar so might be getting them confused.

I agree with Anonymous // July 06, 2009. Aaron X, put your stories on a blog of your own and if people want to hear what you have to say, then they'll read your post. No body wants to hear of your friends discrimination problem on a Toyota Camry Review...
