Bugatti Stratos: Retrotastic Concept Study by Bruno Delussu

Bugatti Stratos ConceptDesigned by Bruno Delussu from France, the Bugatti Stratos is retro-futuristic concept study that draws inspiration chiefly from the Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic which is considered by many as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. Bruno states that he also used some design cues from the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Mille Miglia for the styling of the front end. To be completely frank, the first car that leaped into our mind upon seeing the Strato's fascia was the BMW-powered Weismann MF4 Roadster.

The French graphic designer said that his goal with the Bugatti Stratos was to create a pure fantasy vehicle clearly focusing on the design aspect of the concept without taking into account the technical restrictions and the resulting styling limitations of a model intended for production.

    The height of the car and the way the wheels work is kind of impractical for realistic use... Unless you just want to put it on display or in a museum. 0.o

    Yeah, and thankfully, most of us aren't burdened with a master's of fine arts degree to be blinded as such.

    Fantastic Fantastical..... Completely in the spirit of the 'Now' classic designs it was derived from. The masters of those designs would no doubt applaud Bruno's efforts.

    Ettore would consider the negative comments in their proper context, Bruno should do the same.

    I had designed a small version of this classic design myself and have now pulled those drawings for reconsideration.

    Nice work but just goes to show. Some folks have way too much free time on their hands. If you're going to go to all that work. Why not work on a more practicle concept? Art for art's sake? OK
