Fiat's link with the Chrysler LLC Group has spurred a wave of speculative reports, product plan forecasts and even design proposals like the Fiat Sapor roadster that was conceived by the crew over at Diseno-Art as an entry-level sports. We see two basic problems with this idea: A. the 500 mini is the only Fiat badged-car set to make it to the States (unless it comes with a Chrysler - Dodge logo) and B. the design itself is very rough, meaning that there's something there, but it definitely needs more work to show its full potential.
According to the designers, the Fiat Sapor's exterior styling is influenced by various Fiat models such as the 124 Spider up front and the X1/9 at the rear. The two-seater features a removable canvas rooftop that stows away into a special compartment behind the rear seats.
As for the roadster's mechanical hardware, the Sapor was designed to feature a front-mounted engine that sends power to the rear wheels. The designers claim that one possible option could be Fiat's 1.4-liter turbocharged four that makes 180HP in the Abarth Grande Punto Esseesse hatch.

looks like a child designed it in second life
this would be very impressive if it was introduced in 19XX
Ugly MX5 rip-off.
Fiat '500' Spyder
Reminds me a bit of the last Toyota 'Mr-2' Spyder and the 350Z in the panel(s) development.
The basic envelope has potential. Remove the abrupt industrial 'break away' wheel radius's and blend in high angle radius's. Remove the front end protrusions and mold in a shapely grille opening with a wrap over nerf/bumper with the round Fiat badge in the center, chrome it or body color paint and just chrome and color the Fiat emblem.
The splashed headlights don't go with the basic flat, angular envelope and really don't provide relief from that thematic structure with out a similar treatment out back. A small protruding jewel like acrylic headlight structure might work.
The rear needs some panel development and some round jewel like Ferrari style tail lights would add some visual interest and tie it to that marque.
The interior/dash simplified and body colored like the Fiat 500 would be appropriate for an entry level sporty from Fiat.
Forget a take a-part removable 'Bagged' top. In this day and age we need a simple one hand folder like the Miata. No excuses for a break a-part top will be accepted... a deal killer for sure.
Just some some initial thoughts on this design.
As for the possibility of a production Fiat Sporty ... or 'Fiat 500 Spyder' not likely in this economic climate, but the perfect company historically to create a new offering for this class of vehicles and would bring some balance to their multiple line of expensive performance vehicles (Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa, Lancia, and Dodge 'Viper').

Has great potential, go for it fiat.
