2010 Toyota Land CruiserWhile Toyota has already revealed an updated version of its larger Land Cruiser V8 (also known with the 200 moniker) in 2007, the smaller, latest generation Land Cruiser 3- and 5-door models that are sold in some markets as the Land Cruiser Prado, haven't changed much since their initial introduction. But today, a set of photographs, supposedly showing the facelifted 2010 Land Cruiser Prado, appeared on an Arabic Toyota enthusiast forum.

W2010 Toyota Land Cruisere only have the front and back ends to go by, but chances are there won't be any changes to the Land Cruiser's profile. Compared to the current model (pictured on the right), the SUV featured here gets a reworked fascia that appears to adopt styling cues from Toyota's latest European models like the Avensis. At the back, the Land Cruiser Prado boasts a new set of tail lights plus a revised tail gate design.

It remains to be seen if the vehicle featured in these photos is indeed the facelfited 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser.

In Europe, the current Land Cruiser is offered with two engine options, a 4.0-liter V6 petrol with 249 horsepower and a 3.0-liter turbo diesel that makes 173 horsepower.

This Prado is an all-new version that will also spawn a new 4Runner. A side-profile pic can also be seen at the same Arab board:

Looks less like a Toyota and more like the Mahindra Scorpio from India.

For me the LC PRADO is a respectable car here... although its expensive and mostly people here just get old PRADOs or PAJERO Di-D but for me the current model is fitting for the name LandCruiser Prado , though the Land Cruiser V8 need desperate design change because its just a revamped Land Cruiser series 90 of you look it close enough..

The Prado might perform well in its environment, but at it's heart, it's an old, outdated design that Toyota puts out there for sale just because the brand sells.
The current Prado is lingering in literally thousand's of dealer lots waiting to be sold with massive discounts. i think it's one of Toyota's worst products on the basis of design and driving dynamics alone. OK OK it's reliable, but common, the Prado has been riding the same frame for like 10 years now, perhaps more, i don't feel like checking.
when they updated the Land Cruiser in 07, there were a lot of new bits that made it very different from the outgoing model even though the perceivable changes were skin deep, but the enhancements would help turn a blind eye. but if the coming Prado looks like the pics above, sorry, it think Toyota should fire its designers Pronto.

They couldn't have made it any uglier even if they had tried! This "design" would make a train turn around and take a dirt road!!

Wow, front end looks like an anime character is about to go bonkers.

Woah this car is still in production? I barely see them on the streets. What was the point of this car and the Lexus LX 4?

It may be a hit, but it really sells in third world markets! I have yet to see a NEW one here, except driven by Toyota staff...

I agree with anonymous #4 (July 03). It is an OLD design, but reliable, which is what many third world markets need. However, in the West, we demand different priorities which is why it doesn't sell here...
