A member of a Dacia enthusiast forum has just posted these photographs of what appears to be the Romanian automaker's forthcoming all-wheel drive SUV model that is said to be named after the Duster concept study which was previewed at this year's Geneva Show. However, given that the vehicle pictured here and the concept study share nothing in common in terms of styling, we're not going to draw any definite conclusions as there is the possibility that this crossover may be an entirely different SUV model altogether. Until we find out more, hit the jump for more pics.

"A member of a Dacia enthusiast forum..."

Is that anything like being a member of a forum created for enthusiasts of things like doorstops and toasters???

I really don't see the issue here...it's appears to be a well built, low cost/high function compact SUV with a lil bit of design flair so it doesn't look like a,well, http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/10/nissan-releases-new-kix-mini-suv-in.html .Yeah,it's gotta lil bit of Pathfinder in the rear end,but at least the Pathfinder and whatever this lil scoot will be called are both part of the Nissan-Renault house and isn't a blatant copy of anything like most of the Chinese companies churn out.

Please, please, please put the camouflage back on!

Looks pretty inoffensive, I certainly wouldn't call it ugly. It's just derivative, and that's fine for a car like this. This is meant to be a modern-engineered, solidly built car for 3rd world budgets, and as long as they accomplish that they don't need to worry about vogue styling.

this is not a show room car yet.
    ugly design ? no sir....
totally agree with Philty82 , has a decent look + is very cheap.
is 4x4 i think many who live in the country and not have enough money, will see this as an opportunity.
if this it will be capable on rough terrain, even better......the same was told about Dacia Logan....and this is sold very well on many western countrys like Germany, France, Netherland, and so on.
so, good luck Dacia with this model

Shame the didnt take more cues from the Dacia Duster Concept - now THAT was a great design. This thing looks like a Kia that Mated with a Chinese Clone... Not impressed...
