These are the first official photos of the Peugeot RCZ sports coupe that will be unveiled for the first time to the public in its final form at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Though the 2+2 seater coupe is not fully reveled in any of the photos, there's no doubt that the final production model keeps the original concept's styling right up to the double-bubble rear windshield and roof panel. The French automaker had shown the 308 RCZ concept model in 2007 at the Frankfurt motorshow.
The RCZ that will be the first model in Peugeot's range not to use the usual 'zero' or 'double-zero' numbering system is slated to enter production in Spring 2010.
Details on the engine-lineup are still sketchy but it is expected that the 'French TT' will make use of the BMW Group and PSA Peugeot Citroen co-developed, twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine which will be offered with various outputs, including a version with 218HP.
We also expect to see Pug's diesel engines including the new 2.0-liter four pot with 163HP and 340Nm of torque that recently made its way in the 407 Coupe.

..Somebody better return this metal to the bat cave before batman gets back ;)
níč nevidím, potrebujem okuliare ...
well it's nice looking car..
i know, Audi TT looks much better than this Peugeot, but compared with BMW Z4 this PEUGEOT is 1000% better.
This is the most beautiful Peugeot since 407 coupe. Nice work Peugeot.
Since 407 coupe ??? Was this one ever a beauty ? 406 coupe was great... 407 wasnt.
Now about this one, I hope they'll rethink the face before selling it... (headlights are ugly...)
Looks like an Audi TT and a Volkswagen Eos had a baby. Not sure if that is a good thing.
Well done Peugeot for a car that looks so similar to the concept. Not sure how the eye could see the Audi TT as a nicer looking car than this one.
Put 4 rings on the front of this car and people would be raving about it - sometimes peugeot get a pretty raw deal for being french!
I WILL BUY THIS CAR! :-)
LEAVE THE LION.
IT'S F**** GORGEOUS
SHOULD BE PEUGEOT'S US COME-BACK VEHICLE!
JORGE
Intriguing car.
So visually interesting.
Not since the Lexus SC has a production car design piqued my interest, before that it was the Subaru 'SVX and then the Audi 'TT' Coupe. Teaser Pic's just make me want to see more, especially what kind of interior treatment it received.
I even see a shadow of the original Karman Ghia, one of the most beautiful cars ever produced.
Sure be nice to see this Coupe on the streets of North America.
Nice job Peugeot. Thanks for the visual feast.
