*Updated II: 40 Official High-Res Photos Have Been Added After The Jump --> Just a few hours before its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show, and the first photographs as well as a video of the production version of the Lexus LF-A supercar have made their way onto the internet. From what we've been informed by our inside people, the LF-A features a new, front-mid mounted V10 engine that churns our approximately 550HP with power being sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters for a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of about 3.7 seconds. Stay tuned for more updates on Lexus' first ever supercar but until then, hit the break for the photo gallery and video.Source: Nagtroc , Via: Jalopnik

This looks cool for a Lexus product. Although it reminds of the last generation Supra, a little of Nissan design element. Although the sheet metal covering the tiny rear windows are unique.
Simply amazing!
ugly front. seriously, how is this amazing? rear looks like the design of r8.
Oh yeah, how will the Lexus PR spinmaster make this look green in light of all the hybridy shit Lexus has been shoving down our throats.
I like the dash (minus the stupid mouse), but 300K for this with only 550hp?! Fuck that! I'll take a Murcielago any day or even a zr1 with its plastic dash (at least that car can do more with less).
Until the last minute, I had a little hope that this car would be renamed as " Supra ".
But that's how this is going to be, a luxury brand super car.
Beautiful anyway.
3.7 sec 0-60 for how much? and a GTR will still beat it at the lights for $90K Cdn? how much is this LFA? you've got to be kidding. this is going to be a very expensive service loaner. ah, mr toyoda, pls take engineer team back to drawing board and away from bmw financial sheet. nope, no suckers here ready to call with a credit card number. think i'll line up for gtr.
A bit disapointing imo! great proportions, just the front kinda lets it down for me, it just doesnt look properly finished, i guess its the way the headlights tie in with the lines of the bonnet and front wings? so close!
Trying to level up with the Italian super sports car ?... well, still need a lot more effort in the appearance design, this LFA is not intriguing enough for anybody to open the money pocket... some elements like interior and the engineering could be up to the standard, but the exterior just similar to GTR or other typical Japanese sports car, nothing exciting to look at. Maybe it is necessary to move the design house of Lexus/Toyota to Europe. Probably then, more pretty cars can be produced, as for the FT-86 project. Japanese sports car design is just not that 'intriguing!

I want this automobile ... badly!
Wow this looks amazing! I love the styling looks super sharp. Unfortunately would be out of my price range lol They haven't had a true sportscar since the Supra i believe(Toyota).
kinda looks like its exterior design might date quickly.
They would be better off selling it as a Toyota Supra for about $70,000 US
"They would be better off selling it as a Toyota Supra for about $70,000 US"
But then Toyota would make any money, and they are quite greedy you know.
Carbon fibre construction, bespoke V10 (& bespoke everthing else), simply unique, only 500 - a future collectors item, chance to buy into future Lexus heritage - At $375,000 this is an absolute steal...... I'd buy 2 if I could!! Solid investment
"chance to buy into future Lexus heritage"
Only 20 years have passed since Lexus was founded and you call that heritage?! Fluffed up Camrys and 4Runners?
Name one major technical contribution Lexus presented to the world that was of their own creation...something that would make their history noteable and hence worthy of having even a shread of 'heritage'...and if you say automated parking assist, may I remind you that feature is aimed squarley at the elderly.
Where's their storied racing history? For a brand born from a boardroom meeting 20 years ago, you'd think they'd invvest in some racing efforts that manifest in the cars they build.
At $375K, it isn't a steal, it's a piss in the face. You could get F430 Scuderia Spider 16M for less, and despite the lower HP, the car's residual value would be worth more due to the even lower production numbers and the heritage...something that Lexus doesn't know anything about because they haven't put their brand name up agaisnt the world stage.
