Apparently even the already beefed-up Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is a prime candidate for a little factory tuning. The new Performance Package Plus is an optional extra that is available for order on both the sedan and estate versions of the C63 AMG. It includes an engine kit that boost's the 6.3-liter V8's output to 487 horsepower, a high - performance braking system with compound brake discs and cosmetic accessories.
The power increase from 457HP to 487HP has been achieved through a series of upgrades that include a reprogrammed ECU and the adoption of forged pistons from the new SLS AMG supercar together with new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft that translate into a weight saving of three kilograms or 6.6 lbs.

he adopted from the new SLS AMG super sports car together with new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft translate into a weight saving of three kilograms. Reduced inertia boosts the agility and responsiveness of the uprated V8 engine, which is recognisable from the variable intake manifold painted in titanium grey.
With the Performance Package Plus, Mercedes claims that the 487HP C63 AMG accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.4 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h (124mph) in 13.9 seconds, or 0.1 sec and 1.3 sec faster than the standard 457HP model respectively.
The package also includes a new AMG high-performance braking system with compound brake discs on the front axle and red painted brake callipers all round showing the AMG logo, along with carbon fibre spoiler lip on the boot lid (sedan only) and a new performance steering wheel in nappa leather with a grip area trimmed in Alcantara.
The new AMG Performance Package Plus is available for order now with prices set in Germany at €,7080.50 and €6,426 for the sedan and estate models respectively.

I think your performance figures are off. An extra 30 hp won't make the car 1.1 sec faster to 62 mph.
Anon# Correct, it's 0.1 sec and not 1.1 sec
...or 1.3 sec faster in the 1/4 mile
doesn't anyone here understand english!!! It's 0.1 faster to 100 km/h and 1.3 faster to 200 km/h (not 1/4 mile)...
Ok smart guy, 1.3 sec to 200km/h then. Really? A 30hp increase is that much of an advantage? Your technical knowledge is suspect.
But good for you for catching the 200 km/h error. Now, if you could correct your "doesn't anyone here understand english!!!" statement to include a question mark (yes, it's understood to be rhetorical), then maybe you can get your English Lit degree.
I think they upgraded more stuff than just a +30hp increase. I'm still a noob but i think 1.3s is normal.
