2012 Lancia Thesis Envisioned as a Chrysler 200C, Lancia Delta as a Compact Chrysler

Can't say that were fans of "badge engineering" especially when it comes to brands with a completely different mind-set and background, but like it or not, chances are that Fiat's tie up with Chrysler will most likely give birth to at least a couple of vehicles that will only differ in grilles and badges. The U.S. automaker's recently revealed five-year product plan hints at a few cars of this sort, but photoshop wiz, Theophilus Chin, took it upon himself to create a trio of 'Chrysler-ized' Lancias and vice-versa.

These include a proposal for a Lancia Thesis replacement based on Chrysler's well-received 200C mid-size sedan hybrid concept that was displayed at this year's Detroit Show, as well as Lancia-masked Chrysler Voyager and a Chrysler version of Lancia's premium compact hatchback, the Delta.

Those cars do look good, however I think that Chrysler will get a new grille with the new logo.

I just love photoshop and creative minds to see "what if" at times ! I once had a 6 grade teacher that always screamed what if? what if? at me all the time, i truly wish i had photoshop back then to shut him up !

I think these look good. Wonder if Lancia will make its long-promised return to the UK market with these? Hope so - anything to challenge the German stranglehold on our premium market is definitely welcome.

The Lancia 200C and Chrysler Delta look cool as hell. The Voyager, not so much. Minivans are dead.

The Thesis looks hot. Can't say the same for the others.

The 200C is not bad, definitely an improvement over most current Chrysler models, but I couldn't help but notice that it looks very similar to the upcoming Buick Regal and perhaps the Lacrosse. It'll be years before I even consider buying a new Fiaysler/Chrysiat product...I'm sure it'll take at least that long to iron out some of the quality, reliability and customer service issues the are sure to arise...

How crazy idea it is! Of course Fiat, the parent company of Lancia, cannot afford to permit Lancia to develop its Thesis luxury sedan from zero. But considering such financial and manufacturing states,Fiat has to allow Lancia to personalize the suspension tuning to body design to upholstery, clearly different from original version;the Chrysler 200C. Just shallow badge engineering would make the new luxury Lancia as a phantom of ill-fated,shittiest idea in 1980s,the "Cadillac Cimarron"!
On the other hand,I really anticipate the brand-new luxury Chrysler 200C as a worthy competitor for everything from the Cadillac CTS to the BMW 3-series. So new Chrysler-based Lancia Thesis should have European-bred svelte ride and heroic handling along with voluptuous inside/out,to take on directly with not only Volvo/Saab/Peugeot leagues but also with the Jaguar XF as well as the Mercedes C350,partly with the Audi S5 Sportback and the Lexus IS350.
By the way,if Chrysler wants to make a compact Chrysler, the 2.5-box sloped-back body shell different from stream-lined Lancia Delta's hatchback body is more suitable for the character of this American brand.

I loved the last Thesis, why did they kill the vertical tail lights, they were so distinctive; a much classier version of the vertical style Caddy has.

I'm not surprised they're doing this mass platform sharing, not sure how it will be a benefit, both Fiat & Chrysler make highly unreliable cars

Beautiful work from Mr Chin. I suspect the ‘Chrysler Delta’ is what we’ll see at the Detroit Auto Show next month.

chrysler, are you listening?! bring this car out NOW! it will do much for the company and auto industry in the united states. with a new 300/300c and dodge charger on the way, this will help bring chrysler back. i also think the upcoming jeep grand cherokee (for 2011) will bring many new and long-time chrysler-dodge-jeep-ram buyers into showrooms!
