Only in Abu Dhabi: Cops Get Nissan GT-R Police Car

|
Well, we suppose that in a country where supercars and ultra luxurious sedans and SUVs of all sorts are as common as Fords and Chevys here in the States, it's only fit for the UAE's police forces to patrol the roads and highways of the capital city of Abu Dhabi in a Nissan GT-R. Albeit less extreme that Italy's Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia, a 485-horsepower GT-R in full police livery is an extremely rare sight whichever way you see it. Follow the break for the high-res photo gallery.

So the police in a city with oil barrons driving Lamborghinis and Ferraris have choosen to use a GTR as a police car.

Why? It's like they are asking for the speeders to outrun them.

Oh the lovely moments the A.D.police are going to have on these cars. Ultra high speed chases with no speed limits or legal bindings.

Its hardly the main car for the A.D police. Most of them are old model Landcruisers, patrols, even VW Golfs. We just had the F1, so Im guessing its a promo job for that.

In Abu Dhabi, the majority on the road is said to be the likes of Camrys,Accords,Altimas,Passats,Corollas, and hordes of Japanese SUVs(aka Landcruisers and Patrols). Of course, there're quite a few AMGs,S-classes,BMW7s,Bentleys,and Ferraris in this country. So the GT-R police cars are very usable in such district, but they seem more image readers than main vehicles.
