2010 Ford S-MAX and Galaxy MPV Facelift Photos Leaked

|
The first official shots of Ford's European market 2010 S-MAX and Galaxy MPV have hit the web ahead of an anticipated unveiling in January 2010. Looking at the photos it appears that the slightly shorter S-MAX gains a new lower grille design that brings it in line with Ford's latest offerings such as the Fiesta hatch along with a reshaped front bumper that houses a pair of LED lights.

The new tail lamps and alloy wheel designs round off the exterior changes on the S-MAX while there don't seem to be any visible updates to the interior.

We've only got one photo of the 2010 Galaxy MPV, but from what we can tell, changes are limited to the revised upper grille, the new alloys and the restyled front bumper.

It is reported that both minivans benefit from a new diesel engine, however, this has not been confirmed by Ford.

We'll have more on the restyled S-MAX and Galaxy MPVs as soon as Ford comes out with an official announcement.

When is this coming to the U.S.?
Why can't the U.S. Ford cars have this same quality of materials and build? Argh!!!

They're not coming to the US because you guys won't pay European prices for European quality.

the front end has a little too much going on, but the interior is spot on.

S-Max is sucha a great car.. Well done Ford, i loved it from the very beggining! Such a great 7 seater wtih a big boot even after all 7 seats are up. And still great looks and not huge dimensions. Not dull and huge like most other competatives. Love my Ford Focus mk1, love this one as well.

Dont we already have the SMAX in the form of the US Mazda5? They look very similiar. This just looks like the next generation with the restyled interior like the Mazda 6/ Ford Taurus/ Volvo S80.

I believe the ford versions of the Mazda5 is called the iMax, which looks terrible by the way.

Also, as for the comment about North America not wanting to pay high prices for so called "European quality" that is just crap. Just like everywhere else in the world, there are cheap people, but you cannot assume that is the majority. Get off your European high horse.
