What you see pictured here is the result of a truly horrifying accident involving an Audi R8 that occurred in Athens, Greece. As you can see, the guardrail, which by the way, is supposed to protect drivers (...), has pierced the German supercar from front to back. We don't have all the details, but it is said that the driver of the car miraculously survived the crash, but not without serious injuries, while the female passenger escaped unhurt.

Luckiest guy ever. By the looks of it, that guard rail could have sliced right through his crotch!
The blood splatter is a nice touch. Good grief.
He might have lost a limb in an accident like this.
check out the camber in the rear
ill!
How fast was he going to do that???
he survived but he lost his legs...
I wish good recovery and health for him.
Wow! I hope that the driver is okay!
the greek streets are very dangerous...i know this because i live here...
my god he is just so lucky to be alive! what a freak accident!

at the 4th pic you can estimate a 80-100. Stupid people how buys super cars go and take some driving lessons.
the barier was never there, it's added after the crashed and after the car was towed away. And it;s probably not 80kph, but more.. This is carbon fiber body and won't break so easily.. At least 140kph.
Honestly, 80-100 is normal speed for a rural road or highway. That speed doesn't tell anything about the stupidity of the driver....
Another day, another dumb-ass.
Courtesy of the invention of the semi-auto trans in a sports car.
Buy a fast car, drive fast, die(or get injured) fast.

Actually it is alluminium, lol.
The roads in Greece are terrible. Alot of people buy supercars especially in Athens, which in my opinion is dumb. Appart from the roads, the traffic is really bad usually, plus most greeks drivers think they are the next Schumacher! I'm greek, i know, trust me!
his speed was 200 km per hour PLUS he was bloody drunk...he had it coming...
