Angel Eyes: BMW 3-Series Coupe Tumbles Down Mountain, Both Passengers Make it Out Alive

|

A member of the dedicated BMW forum 1Addicts has posted these photos of the aftermath of a creepy accident that occurred somewhere on the Angeles Crest Highway in California.

According to forum member and driver of the 3-Series Coupe "M3KILL3R", the incident happened when in order to avoid some animals on the road, he panicked, swerved, hit the brakes and eventually lost control of the car which went flying straight off the edge of a cliff tumbling down the mountain.

Amazingly, he and his female passenger made it out alive with some minor injuries. Here's how "M3KILL3R" described the incident:

"Was bout 2 am on a saturday night jan.2nd, picked up a female friend who lives on angeles crest street and we headed up angeles crest mountain... Was taking her to a view spot for, u know...neways.

At mile marker 30.65, no speeding no nothing, max i went was 35mph.came up to a pretty bad ass turn...the second i turned i saw 3 animals of some sort kicking it on the road. I panicked, swirved, hit the brakes, hit dirt road which didnt help me from stopping.

Flew straight off the ledge... Flips+turns+tree+flips+turns+flips and landed on 3 rocks 426 feet down the mountain...both of us are okay...walked out clean...i just have a fractured collar bone and my whole left side is killing me like crazy. The female is perfectly fine, just a few cuts n bruises."

I'm glad he made out alive. Tumbling down a mountain like that doesn't usually result in a very merciful ending.

Could the driver have been SPEEDING? Animal my arse.

Why swerve? Small animal=get squashed. Hope you learned a lesson here.

Speeding in an M3? Unheard of!

I'd be willing to bet he was doing 100+ mph and the "female" was a prostitute. Typical BMW driver behavior. Glad everyone is okay though.

There was this pelican......

Right...the guy with a nickname M3Kill3r swerved to miss some animals while he was doing 35 MPH and drove off a cliff. Gimme a break. Might have been more convincing if he didn't sound like such a moron.

Its very hard to drive slow on that road cause its so awesome ! it takes me 3 hours from my house to get to the base of angeles crest, and everytime i arrive there i get goosebumps about what is getting ready to happen, one of the most awesome drives in the country, from the tunnels to the 7200 foot summit, to seeing all of los angeles, and the observatory its just one awesome ride... and also a major killer of motorcyclists, cause they will come at you head on thru the switchbacks at major speed . it is by far a road you respect and have fun with, unfortunatly ive never once been on it and didnt have a major uhh ohh moment . its a blast to go fast but its also a blast to be safe on it !

Being able to afford such a car + not paying 100$ for a decent motel for the "u know" ...

The "FEMALE". I just don't like that Mr.
You take her 'for a ride' and almost killed her.

hmm... i had an animal encounter on 1.1. this year... only i actualy did hit the poor deer... but looking at this i guess that was a better choice, minor damage on the car, only the poor animal took the brunt...

That's a great road but extremely dangerous. I've almost meet my maker twice up there.
