It won't be long before we see the all-new Volvo S60 sedan in the flesh as the Swedish firm is planning to launch its Audi A4 and BMW 3-Series competitor at the 2010 Geneva Show in March, but just to keep us on our toes, the company has released an action video of the car on the road and the desert. It will be followed by two more promotional films by mid February.

roduction of the sleek-looking four-door sedan model will start in early summer at the Volvo Cars plant in Ghent, Belgium.Volvo hasn't issued specific details on the car that's based on the 2009 Detroit Show S60 Concept, but it is believed that it will make use of the company's smaller in size and more fuel efficient, turbocharged gasoline engines with direct-injection including the recently revealed 2.0 GTDI with 203HP and a 1.6-liter four pot with up to 180HP.

A tacky bluetooth headset and a Pierce Brosnan look-a-like does wonders to kill Volvo's sophisticated and intelligent image.

^ bmw commercial? i do not understand the issue? tacky bluetooth headset? so what? volvo sales have been grim. kudos for the actual car, and the presentation is eye-catching. yes. grab some of those potential bmw buyers! this car is worthy from what one can see from this brief, but effective clip. gee, buy any damn bluetooth you like. volvo makes an 'in car" system. this video or "ad" is all about the car.
Kudos to Volvo, a company about safety. The bluetooth HOPEFULLY will show our youth and elders that drivers should not be holding their cellular phones for talking, texting or sexting... and somebody here (above) even noticed the legal, potentially life-saving device. novel, eh?!

^ i know what you mean. it has always been hard telling a "60" from an "80". i also hope this sexy car has more interior room over the current model. i bought a 2010 nissan maxima opposed to the volvo bacause of very limited rear interior room. btw, the maxi is a great ride!
nissans and volvos are completely different from each other apart from interior spaces though.....
