Chevy Camaro Splits in Two, Amazingly, Driver Walks Away with No Major Injuries!

|

If this isn't the definition of luck, we don't know what is. Upon seeing these photos of the white 2010 Chevy Camaro literally split in two after crashing into a utility pole in Price Hill, Cincinnati, you'd think that the driver would either be in heaven or maybe even worse, hooked up to a slew of machines in a hospital.

But believe it or not, according to the police, no one involved in the accident had to be hospitalized and the driver simply walked away from his torn up Camaro with no major injuries - aside from his ego and pockets...

The Camaro is a very pretty car but you certainly wouldnt want to crash it!

This moron will live again to drive like a jackass and kill someone else.

thank god for air bags!

and don't be surprised if some unscrupulous body shop doesn't rebuild this thing and sell it to some poor unsuspecting soul as a low mileage cream puff.

i knew that thing doesn't handle well... XD

glad the driver and everyone else involved was ok

They tried this on "Mythbusters" by crashing into a snowplow and couldn't get a car to split as much as this one did. I think they used an older car with a full frame which is why they may have had difficulty reproducing what this driver did.

i can just see it now: "2010 chevrolet camaro recalled..."!

Aren't poles supposed to fall down in this case?

look at the bright side, the pole is barely damaged.

Lucky stupid guy

Wow, that makes the Camaro safety look suspect at best.

Anonymous said... »February 08, 2010

Suspect? Any car will do that if you hit a pole fast enough.

Anonymous said... »February 09, 2010

The worst mess i have seen. Do companies crash test against poles?

Anonymous said... »February 09, 2010

Should have bought a better handling car, or learned to drive better. If you cannot control your car at high speeds, dont do it! If you can control your car, by all means drive fast, and safely.

Luckily when my Camaro shattered it's driveshaft and subsequently lost control I actually came within inches of a telephone pole. After seeing this I am thankful all over again.

What's the building behind him? A church? A school? THE GUY'S A FREAK'N IDIOT!!!

Anonymous said... »February 18, 2010

^ Who cares if it is a church.

Er....I'm no Einstein or anything but u guys seem to be overlooking one very important point - HE WALKED AWAY. To survive a crash like that & not have the engine bay in your lap speaks volumes from an engineering aspsect.

^The people inside, I would imagine.

^but nobody goes to church anymore thankfully, so there's no need to worry.
