US-Spec Nissan Juke to Debut at 2010 NY Auto Show in March [Plus Video, Presentation Photos and Spec Sheet]

|

Nissan today revealed that the it's all-new Juke small crossover will appear in North American guise at the 2010 New York Auto Show in late March, following the world premiere of the European-spec model at the Geneva Salon in the beginning of March.

The compact-sized Juke, which was inspired by the Qazana concept car, is scheduled to join the Nissan lineup in the United States later this fall.

We'll have to wait for the NY Show for more details on the NA model, but in Europe, three engines will be available, including a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter petrol with 117HP, a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol rated at an impressive for its size output of 190HP.

There also a 110HP 1.5-liter turbo diesel, but don't expect to see this engine on this side of the Atlantic any time soon.

They misspelled the name because this is a Joke

You're a Joker.
Keep enjoying your Pontiac Sunfire!

I love it and didn't think I'd be bothered seeing the concept pics, it's stayed quirky and all the better for it, nice work Nissan.

Even Sunfire isn't a car that doesn't look like a bee that stung you on the lip.

Nissan completely fucked this up and you can't defend it.

It's Juke. They combined Joke and Puke. At least the Pontiac Aztek won't go down in history as the ugliest car anymore.

Hating Japanese design more and more everyday.

This thing looks retarded.

I concur with the first post.

Bizarre, yet somehow compelling. Nissan has succeeded where GM failed with the Aztek.

Pontiac Sunfire, lol!

Horrible looks!

Maybe the U.S. spec will be more attractive, but for some reason I like it.

This is what I don't get about most people. This is not to everyone's taste, take a look at the other weird production cars from the other automakers in the past. This is the type of vehicle that will appeal to those that want to look unique and that do not care about it. To me it is a rather odd looking car in a good way. At least Nissan is the few automakers that go absurd and it works for them. This and the Cube are unique. And I kinda like this.

Wierd and somehow cool is one thing. A reinterpretation of the Pontiac Aztec is another.

It is odd, but I think it is v cool! Certainly doesnt look like the mundane boring crossovers driving everywhere on the streets... About time someone broke the 'boring' mold... It really needs bigger wheels like the concept, but I think these will be popular. . Well done Nissan, about time you brought out SOMETHING interesting

I LOVE IT! This of course coming from a person who once owned and willingly admits that their dream vehicle (maybe up until now) has been the Isuzu Vehicross. The saddest day of my life was when I gave up my V and owning one now as an only vehicle would be crazy since their a decade old with loads of miles with no warranty. This is the answer to my vehicular prayers, providing there really is plenty of function to go along with that look that I love so much. Thank you Nissan for giving me another vehicle that makes my heart sing:)

Impressive work Nissan, breaking that same old mold and making a vehicle that has personality and its all better for it!

Too many Americans are unsophisticated in their design tastes to embrace this design.

Nissan probably should consider a tamer 'G' -General- audience version.

"Too many Americans are unsophisticated in their design tastes to embrace this design."

In defense of the yanks...and occams razor...too many americans have good taste not to be infected by this design.

You can't spin away the negitive critism by saddling an entire nation of people as bein 'unsophisticated' as if it was entirely possible to woo every single one of them. That is naive on your part, and a form of bigotry.

Fuck you.

I'm pondering a Rogue in the coming months and just heard of this new car. I know nothing of its US designs, but will it be a tiny car made for kids? I'm 49 and want something for the next ten years I won't look like a creepy douche in.
