Just Say No: 1973 Corvette StingRay Sports Wagon Conversion for Sale

|

Creating something different to stand out from the crowd can often have the wanted results but not in the positive way one might expect. Or at least that's what we think about this 1973 Corvette StingRay that appears to have been butchered into a shooting-brake-like model for the sole purpose of calling it "originality"... Nevertheless, if you're interested, it's up for sale on eBay with a 'Buy it Now' price of "only" $25,000. More pics after the break.

Crap like this was once thought to be popular, but so were El Camino style conversions of large Cadillacs. This looks like a camper shell grafted onto a donor Vette.

Reminds me of the Aston Shooting brakes of the 80s/90s. the amp and speakers MUST go tho that's useable boot space right there! It's no breadvan for sure but I kinda like it.

I guess one has to find something worthwhile to do with a post-muscle car era Corvette. Anything 1972 or older would be a shame. This doesn't offend me that much.

I was driving in Detroit around this time and pulled up next to a silver Corvette wagon with non other than John DeLorean sitting in the drivers seat. I thought it was cool... I was smoking pot back then though..Not sure if he was into the Colombian marching powder back then or not....

Still, it's better than a generic, garden variety "Vette or no 'Vette at all.
