A new challenger is entering Brazil's lucrative small pick-up truck market as Peugeot's South American arm introduced the Hoggar today. Designed in Brazil, the pint-sized model is a pickup-truck version of the domestic market 207 supermini, which has nothing to do with the European 207 hatch as the Brazilian model is based on Peugeot's previous generation 206 hatch.
According to the French automaker, the Hoggar that borrows its name from Peugeot's funky 2003 beach-buggy concept has a load capacity of 1,151 liters and a payload of 742 kg or 1,635 pounds.
Peugeot's Fiat Strada and Chevrolet Montana rival will be launched in Brazil in May with two fuel-flex four-cylinder engines with a displacement of 1.4-liters and 1.6-liters.

Hey, I believe it's based on 206/206+ looking at the doors, hood, mirrors...
Look hideous.
OK, first wrote then read the content! ;) Now I know brasilian 207 has nothing in common with the euro 207.
I'll stick with the Volkswagen Saveiro, danke schon.

Oh dear...
lets see, French company...so then its a Le Camino instead of an El Camino?
look like a Dacia
Reminds me of the Proton Jumbuck and some Holden pickups(something like that)
It even uses 1007 tail lights!
That's why French cars just stay in Europe..
that just an 206 dressed up as a 207 morphed into a pick up.
frankenstein style
someone said that "Juke" was the ugliest???? !!
"someone said that "Juke" was the ugliest???? !!"
No one did.
The Juke is still the ugliest.
Stupid Ugly car..! more ugly its impossible to be, that's Peugeot!
Enough is Enough!
Carscoop put this article in just to get some negative comments and reactions and spend thier day laughing away.
MY EYES MY EYES! What an absolute abomination! Worst design of 2010 so far... (and I LIKE the Juke~)
They couldn't design tail lights??? lifted from 1007.
Looks worse than a chinese car, with front from one and rear from other
and people thought the el camino was ugly????
^ the el camino wasn't ugly. it was just odd.
This thing, however, is both odd and ugly.
it's car supposed for work&travel, not sport car or family sedan to look nice.. By the way this car looks beautiful for its suppose for which is it made for. Well done Peugeot!
So, this is what they did with the Hoggar concept shown some years ago?

Things like this is why Peugeot makes me wanna throw up. This and the fact they don't use their Le Mans proven technology on their road cars. I hope they end up bankrupted and all their employees find jobs on a better company.
J A W S!!!!
@ Anonymous "the fact they don't use their Le Mans proven technology on their road cars"
... it really pisses me off as well, not only do they not employ their proven Les Mans technology...they have also don't use the WRC pedigree ... I like Peugeot but I am extraordinarily disappointed ...on the other hand I think Citroen are changing direction I hope Peugeot follows through as well...
It looks very nice.
