Here's a chop from the folks over at 'e90post' of what a potential new BMW 6-Series could look like (i.e. good).
Using more ellipsoid headlights, losing the RS5 nose, and cutting off two doors are a few details that make this photo-shopped 6 infinitely prettier than BMW's recent (as in today) debut at the 2010 Beijing motorshow: the Gran Coupe.
All this chop would have needed to appear just-right would have been the Gran Coupe's slick mirrors.
Come on, BMW: Instead of bringing us a proper preview of the 6-Series in Beijing, you supplied a sleeker 5-Series with a Maserati-sounding model designation as a too-little-too-late answer to the Mercedes CLS? WEAK.
But enough ranting about BMW and its desperate attempts to gain attention. I want this chop to be real and for BMW to go back to the boardroom. They're getting lazy.

Well yeah...as I have mentioned in the "Gran Coupe" post... We could be looking at the upcoming 2011 BMW 6S coupe...
Btw...I don't like the headlights of this 6S rendering...it looks like it has puffy (or panda) eyes...
This would be the first BMW since the E38 7 series that looks beautiful. Please, BMW, build it as the next 6 series just like that!
Its definitly not prettier or racier than the GranCoupe..i assure you that.
beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as the saying goes. a true bmw enthusiast like myself does not care about the triviality of puffy headlights and other non make-or-break factors. the overall look is what matters most and a bimmer owner will likely not move to another make over something so beguine.

lol BMW cant win for losing with some people Mercedes brings a sculpture to preview the CLS that you can barely tell whats going on, and your complaining because BMW used a gorgeous sedan as a concept......seriously???
I like this rendering much better. I think it looks awesome, and not like some Audi design knockoff. It's a beautiful Bimmer.
Ohh! the previous 5 had the best headlamp design ever in the BMW range.
Definitely worst than the Gran Coupe. This rendering is completely boring and looks like just another BMW. The Gran Coupe is fresh and so much evolved compared to this
