
$40,300 for a tuned-up Mini? REALLY? That's the opening price - including a $700 shipping fee, for the 50 coming-to-these-here-shores versions of Mini's World Championship 50 (WC50) model (read all about it in out previous post here).
It features the JCW turbo'd 1.6 rated at 208 horsepower, all the other standard Works fixin's, and special green paint (to sound like it's worth the money, call it Connaught Green). Seriously though, it looks good. Just not THAT good.

the price is bmw but the quality is poor
Now consider the ENTIRE COMPACT SEGMENT in the US. There's lots to choose from.
They all come in at many different price points. Many cars share common features. Others have but a few features not found on others. The can range from the cheap Kia Spectra to the garden variety Civic to the powerful M3.
They're all compacts and their all in a highly compeditive segment...so what makes this fucking thing so good?
All must go, and I bet they will.
Nice toy or third or fourth vehicle if you have the disposable income. Might become a collectors item that your great-grandkids could sell at Barrett-Jackson in, say, 50 to 100 years. "Might" being the operative word.
Does the U.S. also get the right-hand drive as pictured? If that's true, it might be worth the 40k just to be unique. Eh, maybe not.

Apparently with the $40k they can afford an education and the ability to spell properly.
It is a loade JCW. If you build a JCW and add the Aero Kit, Option packages, and carbon fiber accessories it would actually be more expensive than the $40,300.
plus you fail to realize the individualization associated with these vehicles. If you want to look like everybody else, go get a civic or scion and drink your generic store-brand fruit drink (because that Kool-aid stuff is too expensive).
